Taiko-zutsumi (Ogura-zutsumi Site)
Hideyoshi, the warlord who reshaped the region's waterways, built this embankment to separate the Uji River from the vast Ogura lake. The bank once ran through the middle of the water, and its crest became a road linking Kyoto's southern approaches with Nara.
