Ogura-jinja Shrine

巨椋神社

South (Rakunan)|小倉(市外)

A shrine listed in the tenth-century Engishiki that, by some accounts, began when the ancient Ogura-no-muraji clan enshrined their ancestral deity. Tied in the late Heian period to the Fujiwara clan's Kasuga worship, it was known as Kasuga Shrine until early modern times; its enshrined deities are the four Kasuga gods.
