七面天女 道標
❀
A stone waymarker pointing toward Shichimen-gū, the shrine on Mount Shichimen behind Hōtō-ji temple in Fukakusa. Its deity, Shichimen Daimyōjin (Shichimen Tennyō), is a goddess who guards the Lotus Sutra; legend tells that a young woman who appeared before Nichiren at Mount Minobu turned into a dragon, named herself "one who dwells in the pond of Mount Shichimen," and vowed to protect the faithful.
