Memorial Stone to Nawa Nagatoshi

Nawa Nagatoshi, a warrior loyal to Emperor Go-Daigo, died fighting in Kyoto's streets in 1336. Raised by later admirers, this stone marks both his death and the fragile end of the short-lived government he defended.
