A tutelary shrine of Gojozaka, the heart of Kiyomizu pottery, enshrining the founding deity of potters (Shiinetsuhiko-no-mikoto) and a joined-trunk sacred tree revered for matchmaking. Empress Jingu, one of its principal deities, is honored as a goddess of beauty, and the shrine is known for its 'mirror of beauty' amulet.
