Ubaba Inari (Ubaba Pond)

A small shrine on the bank of Ubaba Pond (Yashima-ga-ike). A fox, messenger of the Inari deity, is said to have given birth here, drawing prayers for safe childbirth and conception. It sits in a quiet corner at the foot of the Inari mountain, before the climb past the Senbon Torii.
