Site of Shusse Inari Shrine (Sacred Trace)

出世稲荷跡(しゅっせいなりあと)

Central (Rakuchū)|聚楽第

Shusse Inari Shrine is said to have been founded by Hideyoshi in 1587 as a shrine within the grounds of his Jurakudai palace (tradition; accounts vary). It moved to Senbon-dori in 1663, stayed some three hundred and fifty years, and relocated to Ohara in 2012. The “sacred trace” marker here points to the former Senbon-dori site (1663–2012), not the original ground within Jurakudai.
