Old Shibutani-kaido Waymarker

旧渋谷街道道標(きゅうしぶたにかいどうみちしるべ)

The Shibutani-kaido was an old road crossing the Higashiyama hills to link the capital with Yamashina, and a route of military importance. This waymarker beside the shop appears to be a separate stone from the one the city records at Seikanji village (official no. HI070); its inscription and date remain unidentified (to be confirmed).
