Recorded Joy·Rakutō / Ginkaku-ji
Mirokuin Temple (Shiawase Jizo)
Founded in the 1680s, this temple later oversaw a practice that let worshippers revere distant Mt. Fuji from a Kyoto riverside without leaving the city. Since moving beside the Philosopher's Path in 1927, it has drawn prayers to the Shiawase Jizo, a statue cradling an infant and believed to invite happiness.
