Kadode Shrine, Yoshitsune's Journey

A small shrine where Minamoto no Yoshitsune (Ushiwakamaru) is said to have prayed for safe passage before setting out for Hiraizumi in the north. 'Kadode' means 'to set forth,' and ever since, travelers have come here to pray for safe journeys.
