Seigan-ji (Shinkyogoku)

誓願寺(新京極)

Central (Rakuchū)|河原町

An old Shinkyogoku temple linked by tradition to the poets Izumi Shikibu and Sei Shonagon. It is known for its 'lost-child guidepost' stone, once used to reunite the missing, and for a fan mound prayed to for mastery of the arts.
