Tanaka-jinja

In 1628, Tanaka-jinja is said to have received an old worship hall from Shimogamo, its larger neighboring shrine. Though the hall and the shrine's records burned in 1706, the rebuilt sanctuary still bears Shimogamo's triple-hollyhock crest—a visible trace of that centuries-old connection.
