The former home of Yoshimasu Todo, a leading mid-Edo practitioner of the 'ancient formulas' school of kampo medicine. With his 'one-poison theory of all illness' and insistence on personal verification, he opened a path toward the evidence-based spirit of modern medicine; his name Todo comes from living on this Higashinotoin street.
